On expressing a rational number as its decimal expansion, if remainder becomes zero after certain stage, then the decimal expansion is terminating.

for eg:- if u divide 12\6 then u will get the remainder 0 and quotient as 2.
or

if u divide 3\8 u will get remainder 0 and quotient as 0.375.
