Hello Mate,

The Cold War was the period between 1949–1991 in which the United States and the Soviet Union were at political odds. Much of the tension between the U.S. and the Soviets was rooted in World War II, and specifically, the Atomic Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Hope this helps you

The cold war is the name of the time period from 1945 to 1991 when America and USSR were the biggest rivals of each other

Explanation:

  • During the twentieth century, the world got divided into two blocs
  • Before world war 1, the world was multi polar.
  • However, after world war I, two global powers arose and their allies joined them
  • The world was divided into Eastern and Western bloc
  • During this time period, both countries tried to hurt each other indirectly by using economy and other tactics
