green revolution is started by sir M .S swaminathan who is known as father of green revolution

these are the results of green revolution

1.production has increased

2. productivity increased

3.farmers are able to grow third crop

4. they are also able to grow diversified crops

and at the same time

natural fertility of the soil had slowly declined

underground water level decreased

for few years farmers had good yield but slowly declined as the years went on
