Satyagraha was a term coined by Mahatma Gandhi

It was first Performed in South Africa against the legal racial discrimination.

This is done by appealing the oppressor and by not using the power of force [Hinsa]

In India Satyagraha was started against the Britishers but unfortunately it was dismissed because of violent clashes and many does in this process

The idea of satyagraha emphasised the power of the truth and the need to search for truth .It suggested that if the cause was true , if the struggle was against injustice, then physical force was not necessary to fight the oppressor. Without seeking vengeance or being aggressive , a satyagrahi could win battle through non violence .
