Check and balance system is a system of power sharing in a federation. It is also called horizontal power sharing. In such a system the branches check the mistakes of each another. In India it is prevailed. The judiciary, executive and legislature are horizontally power shared. Legislature's mistake is marked by executive and executive's mistake is marked as rectified by judiciary.
