homothallic refers to the possession within a single organism of the resources to reproduce sexually I.e having male and female reproductive structures on the same thallus. The opposite sexual functions are performed by different cells of a single Mycelium. by different cells of a single Mycelium. It can be cntrasted to hetrothallic.

Hetrothallic species have sexes that reside in different individuals. The therm is applide porticularly to distinguish heterothallic fungi, which required two computible partners to produce sexual spores form homothallic ones which are capable of sexual reproduction from a single organism.

Answer:Homothallic term use to denote bisexual condition. It also called monoecious.

Where as Heterothallic term is use to denote unisexual condition. It also called dioecious.
