Hi Dude

When a ray of light is incident on the reflracting surface from denser medium to rarer medoum it is totally reflected in the same medium. This is called Total Internal Reflection.

Conditions of TIR

i) The ray of light should go from denser medium to rarer medium.

ii) The angle should be greater than critical angle.

☆ Hope it helps ☆

HEYA!!! HERE IS UR ANSWER ....

@When a ray of light travels from optically denser to rarer medium it bends away from normal at the surface separating two media..@

@As the angle of incidence increases, the angle of refraction also increases and the ray of light moves further away from the normal after refraction.

@The angle of incidence at which the angle of refraction is 90° is called critical angle.

@For the angle of incidence greater than critical angle, the light is completely reflected in the denser medium.

@The surface separating these two media acts like a "mirror".

@This phenomenon is know as total internal reflection.....@
