Transverse waves are always characterized by particle motion being perpendicular to wave motion.
A longitudinal wave is a wave in which particles of the medium move in a direction parallel to the direction that the wave moves.
I hope it will help you ✨✌️✨✌️✨✌️

Hey mate here is your answer:-
Transverse wave:- a wave in which the medium vibrates at right angles to the direction of its propagation
eg = Microwaves, light waves, gamma rays etc.
Longitudinal Wave:- a wave vibrating in the direction of propagation.
eg = Sound waves
Hope this helps you..........
