What is meant by Universal Indicator? Write its uses.​

Universal indicator is an indicator which is widely and mostly used to detect acidic or basic property of a substance.

Example Litmus paper , Blue litmus turns red in presence of acid and red litmus turns blue in presence of a base.

USE-->>

It is us to detect the nature of substance i.e. acidic basic or neutral

Methyl orange: Orange colour of it turns pink in presence of an acid and it turns yellow due to a base.

Answer:universal indicator is a solution which undergoes several colour change over a wide range pH the colour is used to indicate pH directly universal in theatres are usually mixture of several indicators
