Valency of an atom is the combining capacity of an atom.
Ex. Valency of Aluminium is 3
Valence e's are the electrons are the electrons present in the last shell of the atom.
Numerically valency and valence electrons are not always same.If the valence electrons are less than equal to four.
Then valency = valence electrons
else
valency equal to no. of electrons required to get an inert configuration.
