Vermicompost is a form of compost. When many farm wastes such as animal excreta, dead plants, domestic wastes are collected in an open pit and left to decompose, the process is called Composting.

When we use worms like earthworms to make the decomposition faster, (as they eat the wastes) the process is called Vermi-Composting.
