Von Kupper's Cell is a phagocytic cell which forms the lining of the sinusoids of the liver and is involved in the breakdown of red blood cells.

Kupffer cells . A specialized stellate

macrophage cell that is located fixedly

within the liver sinusoids. Their name is

derived from Karl Wilhelm von Kupffer, a

German anatomist who was the first to

describe them in 1876.
