what is meant by voterlist.and why the voterlist is revised after every 5 year..?

In India the vote age is 18, those who completed the age of 18 can be vote in all elections . Age of 18 is eligible for voting when he attained this age will call us voters. In each district, state accrding to the voters , they will prepare a voterlist. sometimes a person may dead or some persons may attained the age of voting so every 5 year they revising the voterlist based on the data
