Water of crystallization is the fixed number ofwater molecules present in one formula unit of a salt.
For example:- When copper sulphate are heated, blue coloured crystals changes into a white powder due to the removal of 5 molecules of water of crystallization.
CuSO4.5 H2O = CuSO4
