this is done by changing the thickness of the lens and its focal length also change with the help of the ciliary muscle. when the eyes are focused at far of object, such as moon, the ciliary muscle are relaxed and the eye lens is at its thinnest position, that is maximum focal length. when eyes are focused to a nearer objects the ciliary muscle make the lens thicker that is minimum focal length.
