Answer:

ph is a scale at which we measure the solution is acidic or basic. we use water which pH is 7 called neutral and the toothpaste we use which pH is 9.

Note :if a substance has pH more than 7 it will be basic or lower to7 is acidic and if 7 then it will neutral

Initially, this scale was launched for measurement of the concentration of element ions in any compound. The p in pH stands for potenz which means power.[German word]

The pH has values starting from zero - terribly acidic to fourteen - terribly base-forming.

  • If pH > 7, then compound is basic.
  • If pH < 7, then compound is acidic.
  • If pH = 7, then compound is neutral.

» pH is a range that tells us about concerning the acidic or basic nature of a substance.

\Large{\underline{\underline{\sf{\blue{Importance \: Of \: pH :}}}}}

  • Plants and animals are pH sensitive.

Our body works commonly at intervals the pH vary of seven.0 to 7.8. The growth of plants is dependent on the nature of the soil.

  • pH modification ends up in cavity.[Tooth Decay ]

Our enamel is formed of inorganic phosphate. If the pH in our mouth goes below 5 [acidic nature], the cavity of the enamel is removed of causing tooth decay.

  • pH is the cause of Acid Rain.

When pH of rain goes below 5.6, carbon dioxide (CO2) dissolves into it forming weak carbonic acid & as a result causes acid rain.
