Given,

A figure consisting of two parallel lines and a transversal.

To Find,

The measure of angle 8.

Solution,

Here two parallel lines are given.

One transversal cut those two lines and made some angles.

angle 8 and 45° are on the same line.

∠8+45°=180°.

⇒∠8=180°-45°=135°.

We know that pairs of corresponding angles will be equal.

For that reason,

5x+35°=135°.

⇒5x=135°-35°

⇒5x = 100

⇒x = \frac{100}{5}

⇒x= 20°.

Hence, the measure of angle 8 is 135°.

Answer:

Hence the angle 8 is 135°.

Given

A figure consisting of two parallel lines and a transversal.

To Find

The measure of angle 8.

Solution

corresponding angles are equal

angle 8 = 5x+35

45° and angle 8 are linear pairs.

45+ angle8 = 180

angle 8 = 180-45

= 135°.

5x+35 = 135

5x = 135-35

5x = 100

x = 100/5

x= 20°
