Hey there!

Question -: What is mechanical energy and its two types ?

Answer -: The total energy possessed by a body is called its mechanical energy.
Its SI unit is Joule.

Mechanical Energy gets stored in two forms -:

1) Potential Energy -:
The energy possessed by a body due to its position Or state of rest is called potential energy. It is denoted by 'U'

U = mgh; where m is mass of the body, g is the force due to gravity and h is the height of the body.

2) Kinetic Energy -:
The energy possessed by a body due to its motion is called kinetic energy. It is denoted by 'K'

K = 1/2 mv^2 ; where m is mass of the body and v is the velocity of the body.

Question -: Tell about the work energy theorem.

Answer -: Work Energy Theorem states that the work done by the body is equal to the change in its kinetic energy.
