Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Mechanics

The branch of physics which deals with the study of motion of material objects is called mechanics.

Mechanics can be classified into the following three main branches:

Statics: It is that branch of mechanics which deals with the study of objects at rest. In this branch, we study the motion of objects under the effect of forces in equilibrium. Time factor has no role to play in statics.

Kinematics: The branch of mechanics which deals with motion of material objects without taking into account the cause of motion (i.e. forces) is called kinematics. Time factor plays an essential role in kinematics.

Dynamics: the branch of mechanics which deals with motion of material objects by taking into account the cause of motion (i.e. forces) is called dynamics. As the cause of motion is force, therefore, dynamics is based on the concept of force.

Answer:

Mechanics is one of the main branches of physics which deals with the study and behavior of physical bodies when subjected to different types of forces or displacement, and the subsequent effect of bodies on the environment.

  • Types of mechanics

There are two main types of mechanics:

  • Classical mechanics
  • Classical mechanicsQuantum mechanics

Classical mechanics deals with the study of macroscopic objects while quantum mechanics deals with the study of microscopic objects.

  • Types of classical mechanics

Types of classical mechanicsClassical mechanics further divided into three types which are:

  • Types of classical mechanicsClassical mechanics further divided into three types which are:Kinematics
  • Types of classical mechanicsClassical mechanics further divided into three types which are:KinematicsStatics
  • Types of classical mechanicsClassical mechanics further divided into three types which are:KinematicsStaticsDynamics
  • kinetics, branch of classical mechanics that concerns the effect of forces and torques on the motion of bodies having mass. Authors using the term kinetics apply the nearly synonymous name dynamics (q.v.) to the classical mechanics of moving bodies.
  • Statics studies objects that are either at rest, or in constant motion, that is a motion with constant velocity as to its magnitude and direction.
  • Dynamics is the branch of classical mechanics that is concerned with the study of forces and their effects on motion.
