Ethics is a word which means th good or ideal principles which affects a person. Ethics is also a branch of knowledge that studies things " as how they ought to be" rather than "how they are".
Media ethics deals with the code of conduct of the media, it's principles, ideals, etc. It basically deals with the rules that define how the media ought to function and progress, develop or broadcast.
