Median = 11

Step-by-step explanation:

Arranging the given data in ascending order we get;

2, 3, 5, 11, 13, 17, 19

For calculating median firstly we have to check that the number of observations in our data is even or odd, i.e. n is even or odd.

  • If n is odd, then formula for calculating median is ;

                     Median  =  (\frac{n+1}{2} )th observation

  • If n is even, then formula for calculating median is ;

                    Median =  \frac{(\frac{n+1}{2})th+(\frac{n}{2}+1)th  }{2} observation

Here, in our data, the number of observations is odd, i.e. n = 7

So,  Median  =  (\frac{n+1}{2} )th observation

                     =  (\frac{7+1}{2} ) th obs.

                     = 4th observation = 11

Therefore, median of given data is 11.
