A megalith is a large stone that has been used to construct a structure or monument, either alone or together with other stones. The word megalithic describes structures made of such large stones without the use of mortar or concrete, representing periods of prehistory characterised by such constructions

Hi and here is your answer ... I am learning the same one of the following .....

Megaliths are rocks that are built at the burial areas . They are normally called as rock shelters . These are mostly buried at places for the dead or etc . The belief of the early people mentions about the megaliths used for the dead people .
