Megalodon (megalodonous) or simple 'meg' was a giant prehistoric shark the roamed the oceans in the late plecine era . it was 40-60 feet long and weighed 100 tonnes. In comparison the blue whale weighs 250tonnes and grows up to 250 feet long. ( yes, the blue whale is much MUCH larger than a megalodon.)
the megalodon had large teeth ranging from 6-7 inches with the largest being 12 inches long.
