Membrane biogenesis:

Membrane biogenesis is the synthesis and production of specific “molecular components” and their assembly into “cellular membranes”. This is a continuous process in which cells are involved in throughout their existence.

They keep producing sufficient material for constructing membranes that is present around a cell, known as plasma membrane and also for many membrane-wrapped organelles that are present in the cytoplasm.

The “main components” of membrane are proteins and lipids.
