membrane biogenesis I the process of synthesis of cell membrane with the help of protein and lipids .

endoplasmic reticulum involved in that process because it synthesis both protein and lipids and cell membrane also consist of protein and lipids so endoplasmic reticulum is responsible for its formation.

the RER helps in manufacture of proteins. The SER helps in the manufacture of fat molecules and lipids. Some of these protien and lipids help in building the new cell membrane. This process is called membrane bogenesis.
