  • When a girl reaches puberty the sex hormones oestrogen released into the blood causes to produce over in her ovary.
  • The release of ova from ovary is called ovulation .
  • Either one of the ovary releases an egg into fallopian tube once in about 28 to 30 days .
  • During this period, inner line of uterus become thick and spongy to receive embryo.
  • In case the nature egg is fertilized by the sperm in the fallopian tube this results in pregnancy
  • If the egg is not fertilized it releases with thick lining of uterus along with blood vessels this period is known as menstruation or menstrual cycle
