The menstrual cycle is the regular natural change that occurs in the female reproductive system (specifically the uterus and ovaries) that makes pregnancy possible. The cycle is required for the production of oocytes, and for the preparation of the uterus for pregnancy.

Menstrual Cycle➫ The cycle of physiological changes from the beginning of one menstrual period to the beginning of the next.
➧ Puberty➫ The stage of life when the body becomes capable of reproduction.
♦ It is the time in life when a boy or girl becomes sexually mature.
♦ Boys usually start Puberty 2 years later than girls.
♦ Both girls & boys can expect to gain weight as well as height during Puberty.
➧ Adolescence➫ The period of transition from a child to an adult.
♦ It is a period of life with specific health & developmental needs & rights.

❱ The ovaries enlarge & start releasing eggs.

❱ Hair start growing in the Armpits and in the public area.
❹❫ Changes in Voice:-

❱ Larynx becomes bigger in boys than in girls. This is why boys develop a deep voice where girls have a high pitched voice.

❱ Sweat gland leads to increase sweet and obtain resulting in body odour.
The skin becomes oily & lead to appearance of acne & pimples on the face.
