The menstrual cycle is the regular natural change that occurs in the female reproductive system that makes pregnancy possible. The cycle is required for the production of oocytes, and for the preparation of the uterus for pregnancy.

menopause-A natural decline in reproductive hormones when a woman reaches her 40s or 50s.

Releasing of unfertilised egg along with blood and mucus from female's body after every month is known as menstrual cycle.

Eggs are in limited quantity in female's body so, after 40-45 years their production stops and known as menopause.
