Menstrual cycle is the process of ovulation and menstruation in women.
It happens as when mature egg is released by ovary, the thick lining of uterus takes place but if the cell has not been fertilised the thick lining of uterus breaks the and blood comes out of vagina which is called as menstruation or periods.

The hormones are Luteinizing Hormone and Follicle Stimulating hormone .
Menarche is the onset of menstrual cycle in a young female of age of 13 years.
Menopause is the permanent stoppage of menstrual cycle in a female of 45 years.
