Answer:Menstruation is basically the shredding of the blood lining of the uterus along with the egg out of a female's body...this happens every 28 days...and continues for 3-5 days...it marks the onset of puberty in a female's body...

What happens is....that one of the ovaries in a female's body releases an egg every 28 days...to receive this egg....the uterus forms a blood lining...if fertilisation occurs...then pregnancy happens....otherwise...the egg along with the blood lining comes out of the body.....
