Explanation: menstruation only happens in females who reached puberty.puberty is the first menstruation. ovaries release,females eggs,a.k.a ova one by one.means if,in a one period an egg is released by left ovary then the next one is released by the right ovary.this process of releasing ova is called ovulation.the time period taked to release another egg appr. is 28 days. when ovary is released and if there are no sperms(male eggs) to fertilize it,the egg n the other parts breaks down and comes out of the vagina with blood.this is called menstruation.normally it takes 3-5 days to finish menstruation. hope i helped u :-)
