Eutrophication occurs when there is excessive amount of nutrients content in a water body. Due to which algae starts growing so much which blocks the sunlight to reach under the water. And the aquatic plants and animals will not get sufficient amount of oxygen so they instantly die. Due to which these places stinks deadly. For example, Lake Erie. Hope this helps!
