1. since the ovary releases one egg every month the uterus also prepares itself every month to recieve fertized egg. thus its linning beconme thick and spngy .
2. if the egg is not fertilized it lies for about one day . now however this linning is not needed anymore it breaks and comes out through te vagina as blood and mucus.
3. this cycle takes place roughly every month and is know as menstruation.
4. It usually lasts for about two to eight days .
