Mercury

Mercury is a chemical element with the symbol Hg and atomic number 80. It is commonly known as quicksilver and was formerly named hydrargyrum.

As we know melting point of Mercury is -38.83 C. Compared to room temperature, average room temperature is about 20-25 C. So, the temperature in the room is enough to melt the mercury. This is why mercury is liquid.
