✴What are meristematic tissues?

✔Cells of meristematic tissues have the ability to divide.

✔It consists of active cell.

✔Cells have a dense cytoplasm, thin wall, prominent nucleus and the small vacuole.

✔They are formed in specific parts of the plant.

✔Meristematic tissues can be divided in three parts based on their location:-

 \large{Apical \: }

☞Present at the tip of root.

☞It leads to increase in length.

 \large{Lateral \: }

☞Present on the lateral sides of stem and root.

☞Increase the girth.

 \large{Intercalary \: }

☞Present in the internodes, close to the nodes.

☞Responsible for the formation of branches.

there are further two more parts, MERISTEMATIC AND PERMANENT TISSUE.

meristamatic tissue helps in growing of plants. meristamatic tissue are also called dividing tissue because it in present in specific regions of plants which helps in the growth of plants in those regions.

meristamatic tissue are divided in three parts..

 \bf{- Apical \: Meristem}
 \bf{- Intercalary \: Meristem}
 \bf{- lateral \: meristem}

APICAL - this is present at the tips of root and shoots and increase it's length.

INTERCALARY - this tissue is present at the base of leafs and twigs and helps to make more nodes.

LATERAL - this tissue increase the girth of the stems and roots. present at their sides..
