Meristematic tissue is a temporary tissue, which keeps dividing.

Permanent tissue doesn't divide anymore, and remains permanent.

Acute diseases last only for a short period of time and dont cause any long term effects

Chronic diseases last for long, and also have long term effects on the body.

Meristematic Tissue :- the dividing tissues which are present at the tip of shoot and root.

Permanent Tissue :- the specialised tissues that completed its differentiation and helps in the specific function.
