1. as there is only one party and thus no opposition , so the decisions are taken fastly .

I think that ques. must be demerits , following are the demerits of single party system :
1. as this don't actually provide a real choice to voters and thus is a non democratic type of system .
2. the only party can do any thing which it wants and thus there is no balance of power (/as there is no opposition ) .
3. people can't choose there ruler .
4. it is very difficult for having the people of that party in every corner of country .
