Mesozoic Era, second of Earth's three major geologic eras of Phanerozoic time. Its name is derived from the Greek term for “middle life.” The Mesozoic Era began 252.2 million years ago, following the conclusion of the Paleozoic Era, and ended 66 million years ago, at the dawn of the Cenozoic Era.

Answer:

The Mesozoic Era was the time when dinosaurs lived on Earth.

Explanation:

This era lasted for more than 180 million years and was divided into three major periods, namely the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods. As the climate changed and new plants appeared, different kinds of animals emerged. To explain when this period occurred, I will abbreviate "Millions of Years Ago" to MYA.

  • Triassic Period

Triassic Period (252-201 MYA) was the hottest climatic period in dinosaur history. The fields are so dry. There are only a few plants that grow on the banks of rivers and shores.

  • Jurassic Period

Jurassic Period (201-145 MYA) is a period with many seasonal changes. The combination of high temperatures and rainfall causes the growth of forests. The high number of fertile plants, including tall trees and widely distributed plants, played a major role in providing a food supply for plant-eating dinosaurs.

  • Cretaceous Period

The last dinosaurs period is Creataceous Period (145-66 MYA). This period is marked by a decrease in Earth's temperature. The warm and wet weather produces tropical rain forests where the first flowers bloom. The plant-eating dinosaurs had a body of armor to protect themselves from the fierce flesh-eating dinosaurs.
