we shouldnt be jealous and think that we are not having that facility like others.
Jealously always lead to bad results.
Here Mrs packeltide was also jealous or loona and in the greed she wanted to shoot a tiger so that she could show off to loona at her party.
Hence we learn that greed leads us to no where .

this story is a satire in which the writer tries to convey certain negative aspects in the society or human beings by making fun of it. it tells us that a person who is vain and full of self importance can do any lengths to prove him or her. this story brings out the follies and foible of the British aristocratic society. this story also bring out the false pride and ego of the women who boast off the qualities which they don't possess
