What actually are metals?

» Metals are substances which are good conductors of electricity. Metals are materials which are in the form of solid. They have various properties. Here you go :

Metals are sonorous. Which means they can produce a ringing sound.

Metals are ductile. The property of metals in which they can be drawn into thin wires is called ductility.

Metals are malleable. They can be bent or made into different shapes without breaking.

Metals can generally be classified into two.

Ferrous Metals & Non Ferrous Metals.

» Ferrous metals : Metals that mostly contain iron are called ferrous metals. They are Magnetic, They also give lack of enthusiasm to corrosion.

» Non Ferrous Metals : Metals that don't have much of iron content in them are called non ferrous metals. They aren't magnetic.

Examples of Metals : Iron, Gold, Copper, Zinc.
