Hi there,

♡ Welcome to brainly family

Metals :

• they are elements occupies 3/4 periodic table

chemical properties:

• they tend to loss valency electrons

• They forming ionic compounds

• Most of them is active so, they share in chemical reactions, and can't exist in free state in nature

• Some of them are inactive as gold, silver, platinium so,you can find them in free state in nature and in form of compounds

☆ Physical properties:

• They have metalic luster

• They are solids except mercury is liquid

• They Ductile and malleable

• Most of them had hardness

• They are good conductors of heat and electricity

☆ Nonmetals :

they are some elements occupies the right side of periodic table

☆ They tend to gain electrons to form ionic cpmpounds with metals or share electrons to form covalent compounds with other nonmetals during chemical reaction

☆ Physical properties,

•They exist in solid state as sulphure, liquid state ans bromine, gas state as chlorine ,hydrogen, and oxygen

•They bad conductors of heat and electricity except carbon

•They havnt metalic luster

♡ Hope the answer is helpful

Answer:

Metals are opaque, lustrous elements that are good conductors of heat and electricity. Most metals are malleable and ductile and are, in general, denser than the other elemental substances

A nonmetal is a chemical element that mostly lacks the characteristics of a metal. Physically, a nonmetal tends to have a relatively low melting point, boiling point, and density. A nonmetal is typically brittle when solid and usually has poor thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity.
