A metallic is neither a metal nor a non metal as it has both the characteristics of a metal and non metal. The best example of a metalloid are Boron(atomic number 5), Silicon which is widely used in electronic devices(atomic number 14), polonium which is a radioactive material.

A metalloid is any chemical element which has properties in both metals and non metals or that has a mixture of them. There is neither a standard definition of a metalloid nor has a complete agreement on the elements appropriately classified as such.Despite of the lack of specificity the term remains in the literature of chemistry.
Examples of metalloids are  1.boron 2.silicon 3.arsenic 4.tellurium
