Metals- A metal is an element that is

malleable and ductile and conduct

electricity also its shines Example - Iron , Copper , Aluminium, Zinc etc...

Non- Metals - A non - metal is an element that is neither malleable , nor ductile and does not conduct electricity and it doesn't shines. Example -Carbon, Sulphur, Phosphorus etc...
