Metaphase is one of main step of cell division both in mitosis and meiosis, it's is 2nd step of cell division, in this stage u find chromosomes in its condensd and coiled stage. During this stage spindle fibre from both sides of cell forms and chromosomes lies on equatorial plate of cell. Each side spindle fibre attaches to centomeres of its same side chromatid of chromosome and then pull half of the chromatid towards it.
