Correction in question :-
It should be "Mitosis" instead of "Metosis".
Answer
The stage/phase under Mitosis in which the chromosomes tend to be visible in the best possible manner (such that they can be counted) is known as "Metaphase".
Metaphase is further divided into two parts :-
Metaphase 1 :-
- In "Metaphase 1", the bivalent arrange themselves on the spindle fibres coming from the equatorial plate.
- In "Metaphase 1", the centromeres are located at either sides of the equatorial plate.
- The centromeres of the chromosomes do not get divided in "Metaphase 1".
Metaphase 2 :-
- In "Metaphase 2", the chromosomes are attached to the spindle fibres along with equatorial plate.
- In "Metaphase 2", each chromosome consists of two chromatids.
- In "Metaphase 2", the chromatids in the chromosomes are joined by a common centromere.
