Metalloids are those elements that have slightly both the characters of a metal and non-metals. However hydrogen is not a metalloid though it has dual nature. It is because it has just one electron. It either loses that electron to show metallic properties or accepts another electron to show non-metallic properties. It does not have both characteristics at the same time. Hence it is not a metalloid.
