When dirty clothes are put into water containing soap ,the hydrocarbons ends of the soap molecules in the Micelli attach to the oil /grease /dirt, whereas ionic ends are attached to water (hydrophiliic) This the dirt particles are entrapped by Micelli. When dirty clothes are agitated with soap solution, the oily and greasy particles entrapped by soap solution get dispersed in water. Due to this, soap water becomes dirty but the clothes are cleaned. On rinsing the clothez several times with water these get cleaned thoroughly.
