Microorganisms are those organisms which cannot be seen with the naked eye as it typically consist of a single cell. Examples- Fungi, Bacterium, Virus etc.

There are 5 major groups of microorganisms:

1. Bacteria
2. Algae
3. Fungi
4. Protozoa
5. Archaea.
