Living organism ( such as a bacteria, fungi, viruses) too small to be seen with naked eye but visible under a microscope are called microorganisms.

microorganisms are those organisms which cannot be seen with unaided or naked eyes. These are minute creatures which inhabits almost everywhere.

Based on their cellularity they are either single celled or multi celled

They make up the classes of bacteria, viruses, fungi,protozoa and monera based on five kingdom classification

On the basis of nuclear material they are either prokaryotes or eukaryotes

Common examples of microorganisms are mycoplasma, bacteria, viruses, spirochetes, rickettsias, euglena, diatoms, plasmodium, trypanosoma, amoeba, dinoflagellates, fungi.
