if in a triangle the midpoint of adjacent side of the triangle is joined then the line that is drawn is parallel to third side and it is just half of it means that you can see in the given image

A mid point is a point in a line segment equally distant from the two end points. The point theorem states that the segments joining two sides of a triangle at the mid point of those sides is parallel to the third sides and is half the length of the third side...............I hope it may help u
